User logging into the agent desktop is redirected to the BUI
Answer ID 12754   |   Last Review Date 12/05/2023

After successful login into the application, why does the loading console push the user to the BUI login?

Environment:

Oracle B2C Service Agent Desktop/.NET Console

Resolution:

In new sites there is a hidden configuration setting called LOGIN_BUI_REDIRECT_ENABLED that is enabled on the new site that will redirect the user attempting to log into the agent desktop or .NET console, to the BUI.  This only occurs if the profile associated to the user's staff account does not have any edit permissions for records or reports.  When a user attempts to log into the agent desktop or .NET console, a message displays that indicates, 'Please click the URL below to log in with Agent Browser User Interface' similar to the following:

The user can then click on the BUI URL displayed to be redirected to the BUI to log in.  For further details on this functionality, please see the documentation here.  If the staff account is associated to an admin profile or a profile that has edit permissions, the user will not be redirected to the BUI to log in.  This also applies to the special administrator account.

It is possible to have this configuration setting disabled.  If you would like this configuration setting disabled, submit a service request to Ask Technical Support.
