"Unexpected error during import" message in the Import Wizard

Why do I receive the warning "Unexpected error during import" while importing records that include date/time?

Data Import Wizard
Resolution:
If you are trying to import new records and the prescan of your file returns the error "Unexpected error during import," the possible cause would be the date/time format. Review the data file and its format and compare it to the default format.
The data file should use the default date/time format: %Y-%m-%d %H.%M.%S.
Example of proper date/time: 2022/25/01 05:30:25 AM, 2022/25/01 11:08:22 AM.
