What do I need to know about the deprecation of KA Tools in the .NET Agent Console?

Oracle B2C Service Knowledge Advanced in the .NET Agent Console

Resolution:

Knowledge Advanced (KA) Authoring and the three KA Search Administration components: Configure Search, Intent Builder and Manage Search Query are deprecated in the .NET Agent Console as of August 2022. Customers will need to use these Knowledge Advanced components from the Agent Browser User Interface.

Does this impact the KA knowledge window in the .NET Agent Console?

No, Oracle is not deprecating the KA knowledge window in the .NET Agent Console at this time.

How long do I have to switch to Agent Browser User Interface?

The deprecation period for the aforementioned Knowledge Advanced components starts August 2022. The goal is to have all customers using the Agent Browser User Interface as soon as possible.

Why is Oracle deprecating these KA features from the .NET Agent Console?

Knowledge Advanced was first released in the .NET Agent Console in May 2015. All KA features available via the .NET Agent Console have been available in the Agent Browser User Interface for the last five years and is widely used by KA customers. Oracle is encouraging all customers to adopt the Agent Browser User Interface.

What if I want to continue using the .NET Agent Console for KA Authoring or Search Administration?

No future enhancements will be made to the .NET Agent Console for KA Authoring and Search Administration. Oracle will continue to address defects until the final End Of Life announcement.

What happens after KA Authoring and Search Administration in the .NET Agent Console is turned off?

Customers will need to use the Agent Browser User Interface to use KA Authoring and Search Administration.
