Running .NET console without Internet Explorer
Answer ID 12050   |   Last Review Date 02/01/2022

Microsoft has designated End of Life Support for the Internet Explorer Application. Can I continue to utilize the .NET console on a workstation that has had IE11 disabed per Microsoft's documentation?

Environment:

.NET Console, Browser Controls
Oracle B2C Service 21A or newer

Resolution:

Microsoft has announced end of support of the Internet Explorer (IE11) desktop application.  Microsoft will continue to support the IE engine (referred to as IE Mode) through at least 2029.  IE Mode is utilized by the .NET console but disabling Internet Explorer per Microsoft's procedures is not expected to impact functionality within the .NET Oracle B2C Service console.
