Message Template Preview shows elements that should not be displayed
Answer ID 10550   |   Last Review Date 01/09/2019

Why do I see extra elements in my message template while previewing?

Environment:

Message Templates
Oracle B2C Service, all versions

Resolution:

There is two types of templates that is used for generating the email body. First type is a Message Template and it is specific to the message you're sending as it can be a email that is send by rule or is a final response before incident closing. Those messages can be customized for each specific case you may have as well as those are specific for each interface.

Second type is a Global Template which is a main template that wrap or frames each message template and is mostly used to brand your outgoing mail.

While editing Message Templates some extra elements will be displayed during preview or when actual message sent. Example can be Company Logo or URL links.  Those elements is a part of a Global Template.

For additional information, refer to the Edit a Message or Edit the Global Template sections for the version your site is currently on. To access Oracle B2C Service manuals and documentation online, refer to the Documentation for Oracle B2C Service Products.
